Manuscript Services

I offer three levels, priced according to the level of editorial attention involved. (All pages are to be submitted in standard manuscript format: 12-point type, double-spaced, one-inch margins all around.)

1) an overall read without line edits or margin notes, after which I provide the writer a lengthy and detailed report addressing character development; plot arc; voice, tone and style; pacing; scene-building; thematic and symbolic material. I offer concrete suggestions to strengthen the work.
2) all of the above including line edits and margin notes.
3) full re-write, preserving your voice, tone and style.

Coaching Services

Based on your specific challenges, I develop a coaching plan to help you with discipline and accountability, so you can build a writing practice within your life’s constraints. In general, writers send pages to me on a weekly basis as an accountability check and in return I provide light commentary via email. When a writer runs into obstacles, whether or process of technique, I can usually suggest several possibilities for managing those.
